Received a note today from Mark Hachman in London: "So how is the fuel-cell market progressing? As always, it's still ten years away. "While the half-empty prognosis for fuel cells may have seemed a bit gloomy, the mood at the Ninth Annual Grove Fuel Cell Symposium here in London was as positive as it was realistic." Read his story from ExtremeFuelCells.com. What? You've never heard of our fuel cells site? Well, neither had I until I received Mark's e-mail. [:)]

When we think of DVD storage, most of us point to our DVD storage racks that take up space in our living rooms and bedrooms. According to I4U.com, that won't be the case any longer. Taiwan-based MacPower & Tytech Technology Co. designed the TVisto HDTV Video drive (approximately $210), and the folks over at I4U were lucky enough to get their hands on one. They found that you can "store all your favorite DVDs on the TVisto hard-drive in ISO format. The DVD movies can be watched in the same quality..and on a 500GB hard-drive you could store about 80 full length DVD movies." The TVisto plays back video with up to 1920x1080i resolution, so that means the picture will still look picture perfect on your HDTV. But that's not all it can do. It's also a digital DVD server that plays mp3s and WMAs and displays your photos. Find out more on the TVisto HDTV Video drive in this review.

I wear my sunglasses at night. Not because I love that song, but because I can listen to music with them on. You may remember Oakley's first attempt at the flash-based MP3 player sunglasses that were seen being worn by bounty hunter "Dog" Chapman and Manny Ramirez. But, the sunglasses seemed to be more of a fashion statement rather than a well-designed and quality player. The latest version, the Oakley Thump 2, improves upon the original in a couple of ways, but ultimately they look very un-Oakley. Thump 2's 1GB model is selling for $449 direct and are way more comfortable than the original. But I kinda wish that the lenses would flip-up and that the battery life was longer. Oh well, they're still cool nonetheless! Check out more on the Oakley Thump 2.
