Hey Sprint Android phone owners - how about a nice slice of Flan? Sprint noted today on their official Twitter account:
"Slight clarification on Android OS updates for the HTC Hero & Samsung Moment. Will be updating straight to Android 2.1, not 2.0, in 1H2010."
So you're going to have to wait for your Android update, but at least it will be the most current form of pastry. This is probably what Sprint planned all along, but they probably couldn't talk about Android 2.1 (aka Flan) before all the information about the Android 2.1-packing HTC Nexus One came out.
We don't know all that much about Android 2.1's features, but we expect to find out at the CES trade show the first week of January, when we're pretty sure we're going to see a Nexus One.

I wonder what 2.1 will bring. I hope being able to move apps to the sdcard and a better way to take pictures. I really like this phone but the lag is killing me. A faster processor would have made this phone really great. As it is, it's still good but again, the lag, the lag, the lag.

I hope that hands free will be released with 2.1, other than that the phone has been great, awesome features and fast.
I'm coming from a WinMobile 6.1 platform and Android has a LOT of speed compared to any other platform I've tried.

I have noticed a difference in some of the graphics being richer in appearance and color, also noticed the two new features when you make a phone call. The option to tap the speakerphone button is cool because you dont have to fumble with the menu button and then tap the speakerphone feature. I also noticed that the mic feature to access the mute is handy as well. These new additions are very nice. I am however, not sure what other changes have been made with this new 2.1 platform firmware. I will wait to see.

What does 1H2010 mean? Does it mean my hero will be updated within 1 hour of the new year? Haha

1H2010 = 1st Half of 2010 (Between 01/01/2010 & 06/30/2010)
