Apple just released software version 3.0 for Apple TV. Bottom line is that the user interface has been completely redesigned and users can now browse iTunes LP, compile Genius Mixes, and listen to Internet radio stations. Wow, this on a day when LifeHacker has an awesome article on setting up an XMBC htpc on the cheap.... Come ON Apple... you have the chance to make something kick ASS and you don't have the balls to do it? This is saaaaad
I have to admit though, I'm impressed that Apple's taken any time or effort to upgrade the AppleTV entirely. I mean, I had all but written it off for dead, and well...if software bumps is all it's going to get (especially since we'll probably see this in Front Row and iTunes on other Macs soon), it may still be.
