Now that the whole relatively unproductive iPod announcement is behind us, it's time to go back to the tablet rumor mill. This time the rumor, once again, is coming from an overseas third-party parts manufacturer. Battery manufacturer Dynapro claims to be helping Apple manufacture some 300,000 tablets a month.
Here's the quote from the Taiwan Economic News,
The tablet PC features a 9.6-inch screen, finger-touch function and built-in HSPDA (high speed download packet access) module, and adopts a P.A. SEMI processor chip and long lasting battery pack, selling for between US$799 and US$999. DynaPack International Technology Corp. has been exclusively contracted to supply up to 300,000 units of long lasting battery packs a month for Apple`s newest tablet PCs.
Dynapro also claims that Wintek--a company that supplied parts for the iPhone--is building touchscreens for the device.
