I'm going to be totally honest with you: I'm not really sure how people promote audio podcasts. I mean, you know, other than discussing them on other podcasts (which we've had a little taste of, recently). So the idea of creating a video to promote ours didn't seem all that strange to me.

When batting around some ideas for said video, the concept of using puppets didn't seem strange, either. After all, most of those who listen to the show never see our faces anyway, right? And we happened to have a couple of puppets lying around the offices that happened to look a bit like us, courtesy of our intern, Natalie.

The puppets werew a result, I believe, of a joke gone delightfully too far--something from PCMag Radio, wherein the hosts suggested that they ought to build an army of puppets to replace them while they were out. (It may also have had something to do with that foul-mouthed Walt Mossberg puppet that has been making the YouTube rounds).

Thus, I present to you three new video promos for our podcast, PCMag After Hours. I hope you enjoy them. Please embed them on your sites or just pass them around to your friends and loved ones.

Watch the other two videos, after the jump.

Puppets are for children. This is quickly going into my bookmarks folders as one of the places to avoid.
