Someone sent HP laptops to government officials in 10 states. Sounds like a nice enough gesture, right? The FBI doesn't think so. The organization is trying to figure out who sent the unsolicited gifts to the offices, over fears that they may be packed with malware.
"We were notified by the governor's office that they had received the laptops and they had not ordered them," West Virginia's CTO, Kyle Schafer told Computer World. "We checked our records and we had not ordered them."
The computers are being held by state police.

Having the State Police hold onto these "gifts" is probably a good idea. As the saying goes, "There is no free lunch". No free computer either

My question is this: Which 10 states? Are they Battle ground states which could help the Democrats or the Republicans in the Mid-Term elections in 2010? These questions need to be answered honestly by the biased media outlets with cold hard facts and not assumptions as in the 2008 Elections. That year the media died and is barely on life support. LOL!
