Let's say you follow the Twitter accounts of Woot, Bargainist, Amazon, NewEgg, and our very own TechSaver; that's a lot of tweets to read just to find the best bargains for that day.
Enter CheapTweet, a site that aggregates all of the best deals, coupons, and sales that people are tweeting. Makes you kinda think why didn't I think of that, right?
The site is categorized by Fashion & Beauty, Tech, Entertainment & Travel, Home & Family, Food, Back to School, and All categories.
CheapTweet first sets out by scanning various Twitter accounts for deals. Then it posts those deals and lets users vote on them. If you like a deal, click on "It's Cheap"; if you don't think a posted deal is worth anyone's time, then hit "It's Lame."
Learn more about CheapTweet, after the jump.
How do you get CheapTweet to find a cheap deal you posted about on
Twitter? First, make sure your tweets include the sale price,
percentage price reductions, or any other special offers plus
expiration. Second, provide useful links. Third, if someone retweets
your deal, that can influence its ranking on CheapTweet. Lastly, don't
spam! (For obvious reasons.) If you really want to make sure CheapTweet
finds you, use the #cheaptweet hashtag.
I haven't seen TechSaver on CheapTweet yet, so I have some work to do!
