controller steering wheel for Nintendo WiiLove shopping at outlet malls but hate the crowds? Overstock.com is an online store that claims to offer brand-name merchandise at discount prices. All orders ship for $2.95 all the time, too.

At Overstock.com, you can save money not only on electronics, but furniture, clothing, books, and bedding as well. The store also hosts redline deals--a select number of heavily  discounted prices that are often snatched up quickly.

I've bought stuff from Overstock.com before, but I wonder if what I was buying at the time was really the best deal available. Today I'm going to put the online store to the test.

I chose four items--Controller Steering Wheel for Nintendo Wii Remote Control, Nextar Q3 GPS, Kodak 8-inch digital photo frame, and Sennheiser CX 380 headphones--to see whether or not their sale prices are the best bargains out there. For an outlet-type store, let's just say I thought it would do a little better. See the results, after the jump.

Controller Steering Wheel for Nintendo Wii Remote Control
(Regularly $17.99; Now $3.99)--Good Deal!
Shipping: $2.95
This Wii accessory, made by eForCity, can be used with Wii driving games such as Excite Truck, Mario Kart 64, and Cars. With savings of $14, Overstock's price of $3.99 beats that of Buy.com's and eForCity's. Good deal verified.

Nextar Q3 3.5-inch Touchscreen GPS Navigation System (Refurbished)
(Regularly $175; Now $101.99)--Bad Deal!
Shipping: $2.95
I tend to only buy new products as opposed to refurbished and recertified models, but sometimes you find a deal that is just too hard to pass up. This isn't one of them. Buy.com is selling the same model for $32 less with free shipping. Even more, it isn't refurbished!

Kodak 8-inch SV811 Digital Photo Frame with Free Gift (Refurbished)
(Regularly $149.95; Now $87.99)--Good Deal!
Shipping: $2.95
This digital photo frame features built-in speakers, a wireless remote, and an 800-by-480-pixel screen. It's compatible with the following memory cards: SD, MMC, xD, Memory Stick, CompactFlash, MicroDrive, and USB flash drives. If you were to buy this frame in new condition rather than refurb, you would have to dish out at least $200. Paying $88 is certainly more appealing. Oh, and you get a free Transcend 1GB Jet Flash USB 2.0 Flash Drive! Good deal verified.

Sennheiser CX 380
(Regularly $89.95; Now $74.99)--Bad Deal!

Shipping: $2.95
These noise-isolating ear-canal earbuds come in handy while working out at the gym or riding on the train to work. What's even more handy is that you can get these earbuds for less at Amazon.com, for a total price of $65.19.
