A cheaper Playstation 3? Ha. Sony's CEO dismissed rumors that the company is looking to cut the price of its high-end console in attempt to compete with the far cheaper Xbox 360 and Wii.
"I (would) lose money on every PlayStation I make," CEO Howard Stringer told Reuters, "how's that for logic?" Not that selling consoles below cost is a completely foreign concept to the company.
Stringer was also quick to downplay Activision CEO Robert Kotick's comments that the company might stop produce games for the console, should the price remain static. "He likes to make a lot of noise," said Sony's head. "He's putting pressure on me and I'm putting pressure on him. That's the nature of business."
