Audio-TechnicaATHANC7b.jpgNot just for frequent flyers anymore, noise-canceling headphones have become the next luxury item for music lovers. Audio-Technica, no stranger to the field, has launched a new model, the ATH-ANC7b QuietPoint, promising better sound, comfort, and convenience.

Highlights of the new QuietPoint include redesigned earcups for greater comfort, easier battery access, and active noise-cancellation technology that blocks 85 percent of outside sound. They fold flat for easy storage and work in passive mode as standard headphones when turned off. They also come with an airline adapter for plugging into in-flight entertainment and a hard case.

Don't go looking for these QuietPoint headphones just yet; they'll be available in August, at Apple Stores, Electronics Expo, and other electronics shops for $219.95.
