Ahhhh! E3's next week, which means, of course, that I need to start packing soon for my trip to LA. It also means that we're knee-deep in video game rumors. We waded through all of the information swirling around next week's show (well, Natalie the intern did, actually) and picked out a few of the our hopes for next week's show.

Sony: New PSP. This may well be the big news of the show. Speculation is bubbling up that Sony will release the PSP Go!, the successor to its perennial favorite portable gaming console will drop the UMD in favor of downloadable media and 16GB of built-in memory.Oh, and will God of War 3 get a release date?

More after the jump.

Microsoft: Is the Xbox 360 getting its very own Wiimote? Motion sensing ahoy.

Nintendo: Are those old favorites Zelda and Mario due for yet another comeback?

Capcom: Is the swine flu prohibiting Dead Rising 2's zombie hoard from invading the States?

Konami: A new Metal Gear Solid? Maaaaaaaybe.

Blizzard: The Blizzard rumor is of the unfortunate variety. Word has it that the company won't be showing at this year's event, which means no update for World of Warcraft fans--and no Starcraft 2.

Ubisoft: the game developer is expected to announce a full lineup through March 2010, including titles such as Rabbids Go Home, Red Steel 2, and Assassin's Creed II.

I wouldn't be surprised if Blizz is a no-show for this year's E3. With their 1st batch of BlizzCon tickets selling out within just a couple of minutes upon release and the 2nd batch about to go on sale in just a couple of hours, it makes more sense for Blizzard to keep all of their good stuff for BlizzCon. Nevertheless, any news from Sony and their hotly anticipated new PSP is enough to make me giddy like a little schoolgirl who just saw the Jonas Brothers.
