The whitewashed resort town of Alys Beach, Florida, is about to get some serious color, thanks to the second-annual Digital Graffiti Festival. On June 6th, digital artists from around the world will converge to project their creations onto the town's iconic white walls.
The two-day festival will be hosted by TV host and model India Hicks, and judges will award $6,000 in cash prizes. Tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for children.
The event is sponsored in part by the new Cinemin Swivel pico projector, designed by WowWee Technologies. Powered by Texas Instruments' DLP Technology, it can project images outside for digital graffiti, or anywhere else you'd like a larger view. It has a brightness measure of 8 lumens, a 480-by-320 resolution, and a 3:2 aspect ratio. The Cinemin Swivel's projections are visible from 12cm to 2m, and it offers over 2 hours of battery life. It'll sell for $349 when it's launched this summer.
