NZXTCryoS.jpgNotebook cooling pads are usually intended to keep your lap from getting too hot, but the just-announced Cryo S from NZXT (I'm not sure how to pronounce it, either) is all about gaming performance.

The Cryo S is a stand for any notebook up to 15 inches, which makes it a smaller and cheaper alternative to the company's Cryo LX. Plug it into a USB port or a wall socket with the included AC adapter and not one but two 120mm fans will keep your computer from overheating. For high-performance gaming, anything that helps you squeak out better performance is worthwhile.

The Cryo S is made from brushed aluminum and has a rubber finish that keeps your notebook from sliding around. It even includes two extra USB ports, so you can plug in Flash drives, a gaming mouse, or anything else. It holds your notebook at a slight angle for more comfortable use.

Visit the NZXT site to learn more about the Cryo S. It should be available soon for $49 from Newegg.com.
