If you love the idea of wirelessly charging your gadgets, you'll be thrilled to learn that WildCharge has just announced the Universal Adapter for Cell Phones. This adapter lets a over 150 different models charge wirelessly with the WildCharger Pad (Read our hands-on review). Supported phones include those from BlackBerry (RIM), HTC, Motorola, Nokia, and Sony Ericsson.
The adapter works by connecting phones to the WildCharger Pad via a thin swing arm and removable tips. The adapter is available for $39.99 and comes in three different bundles for mini-USB, Nokia, and Sony Ericsson. You can pick one up, as well as the pad, at the company's site.

Except for a couple of phones, adding the adapter is not less cumbersome than plugging in a charging cable. $80, not $39, is the average price for the adapter and mat, making this "convenience" pretty costly. Unless a "skin" is provided, I see no convenience over a charging cable. I've greatly anticipated this firm's release of "adapters" for more phone, but am disappointed at what's been released.

I think the convenience is apparently in the fact that you can charge multiple devices on one pad rather than plugging in charging cables to multiple devices, and tying up multiple outlets.
I'm perfectly fine with this - I envision a "charging station" near the door where you can charge multiple devices.
