If sci-fi movies and TV have taught me anything, it is that in the future, we'll have greeting cards that offer true video motion. And while that technology is still a ways off, it is getting closer.

But this is something on which the developers at Snapily are already hard at work, according to their Web site. In the meantime the company has provided a type of motion with its new basic 3D "flip" cards. Send them 2 to 5 images, and they're combined into one card. You flip it back and forth to see all the images.

The new-millennium version of the flip card is much improved--viewers aren't just left with two blurry images. Individual "living prints" start at just $3.50, and Snapily can do invitations, greetings or even business cards. Users can "build" their designs straight from their desktop, and using the software is--dare we say--a snap?

Just tried it out! Great wizard for creating the cards. Good price point. Can't wait to see the results.
