Yep, we got the Nintendo DSi in early today and shot a quick video of our unboxing. What, did you think we were just going to stick the thing back in the box and forget about it? I took Nintendo's new portable game console through its paces, checking out the image and music features and playing a little bit of the new DS title, Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia.
Check out a few select images of the new portable console, after the jump. Update: PCMag.com's DSi review is up.

Carol got a little overzealous and dinged up the box in the unpacking process.

Nintendo is set to make plenty of content available through its online store.

One of two built-in cameras. This one's located on the outside casing.

Booting up the machine plays some soothing ambient music. Who needs the Buddha Machine?

Smirking for the camera.

Making beautiful music.

Castlevania, ahoy.

Who's that handsome gentleman up there?
...
DAMN RIGHT.
This looks hot though - I might have to pick one up even though I already have a DS Lite. I wonder if it comes in any other colors at launch; I'm a big fan of the red/black DS Lite that's out there somewhere...

you flatter me, sir.
the dsi will come in black and "powder blue" at launch. the black is pretty snazzy, though--it looks like one of the original macbooks.
