Oh dude Monster Cable, did you hear what Engadget said about you? Naw dude, seriously, you need to check it out. They were all like, "Monster Cable sucks." I know, I was all like "no you didn't," only they totally did.
The AOL-owned gadget blog made the statement in the wake of a recent Monster Cable ad that used an Engadget quote to promote its new Beats By Dre headphones--out of context, says Engadget. The ad quotes a post from back in July, stating, "there are no better headphones in which to drop the beat into." The full sentence (which, incidentally doesn't end in a preposition) reads, "As Mr. Chappelle would likely attest, there are no better headphones in which to drop the beat into than Dr. Dre's 'highly anticipated' [their quotation marks] Beats."
The same post also states, "for $349.95, we'd recommend looking at more respected names in sound, but if your street cred is sitting at rock bottom, you may have no other choice."
For its part, Engadget happily took the opportunity to bash Monster for its litigious tendencies and performance test issues.

I just read the comment about Monster cable and I disagree completely. I have very sensitive hearing and want to hear the full audio spectrum. Monster Cables reproduce sound that sometimes is amazing.

I have an additional comment to add. I don't care what a computer test says about the quality of the cables regardless of the brand or the price. I'f I can't hear or feel it I consider it a waste of money.
