CushDesk.jpg
There are several products on the market designed to protect your lap from the heat of a laptop, so Belkin's just-announced CushDesk needs to work extra hard to distinguish itself. I think it's done that.

The CushDesk is attractively slim, so you can tuck it away next to your couch and never know it's there. It comes in three color combinations and is slightly angled to tilt your keyboard toward you. The surface is easy to clean, and naturally, it works with any notebook or netbook. I like that it has a raised edge along the bottom to keep things from rolling off.

The CushDesk sells for $29.99. While Belkin's press release says that it's currently available, the Belkin Web page says "coming soon." Check back if you've been looking for some lap protection.
