Telsa is finally beginning to pump out its killer, all-electric Roadsters in earnest. But the waiting list is long, and as of February the tiny automaker had only delivered 200 completed vehicles.
Since the supply-and-demand equation is so out of whack, a Roadster owner can clean house if he no longer wants the car. That's what one fellow in Atlanta recently discovered; he sold his undriven orange Roadster for $160,000 on eBay after originally waiting two years for it, according to AutoblogGreen, turning a $50,000 profit in the process.
"Times have changed in the last two years, [and] now I want to sell it due to my business having sluggish sales in this economy," the seller wrote in his eBay ad. "If you can afford this car, it's one sweet ride... I don't normally sell things on eBay, normally I buy. I'm just a guy with a Tesla."
So that one is gone, but AutoblogGreen found two others up for sale. One is currently at $115,000 with zero bids, while the other is sitting at $95,350 with over 20 bids and climbing. Got over $100k lying around? Knock yourself out—these cars rock.
