The space shuttle Discovery made it to the International Space Station (ISS) and has docked in order to deliver the final set of solar wings necessary for the station to boost its electrical output, according to the Associated Press.
The report said that the shuttle first did its now-customary 360-degree back flip in order for station astronauts to photograph the bottom and check for signs of damage during the launch.
The last two solar wings will bring the total to eight, and finally make the ISS look balanced and similar to the original artist renderings, the report said. The space shuttle will spend eight days at the station, and then clear out so that a Russian craft can launch March 26 in order to bring up two new station members. (Image credit: NASA TV)
