The Smart ForTwo is turning out to be, well, instantly recognizable, if not exactly a run-away success. Now George Barris, designer of the original Batmobile from the 1960s, has turned his attention to creating a spiffier, bat-themed version of the ForTwo called the BatSmart—and it's now for sale on eBay, reports AutoblogGreen.
The beautifully executed BatSmart includes everything you'd expect in a Batmobile for two, such as a faux turbine and fake rocket launchers, along with its (obviously full custom) body kit and bat fins. Unfortunately, there are no power or other performance upgrades, so all you get are 70 horsepower and a jerky semi-automatic transmission—but who wants to make a quick getaway in a car like this? Oh, right—Batman.
At the time of this writing, bidding is currently up to $8,500 with two days left in the auction, so head over there quick.
