Did you know that 33 percent* of people said they would prefer to send an SMS when asking someone out for the first time? Yes, it's a geeky, geeky world we live in, but thankfully, there are some geeky ladies out there just waiting for that text...
OK, so the text might be a bad idea, but these Valentine's gifts will surely woo your tech-savvy babe. Check out Part Two of Gearlog's Valentine's Day gifts for geeky gals, but make sure to peruse Part One for ten other Valentine's Day ideas.
Heart Meter Shirts (above)
So, you know how in video games, if your heart meter reaches zero, you die? Buy one of the 8-Bit Dynamic Life Shirts for you and one for your girlfriend. During regular activity, only two and a half pixelated hearts will light up, but when you're in hugging distance of your honey and she's wearing her shirt too, the hearts on both shirts will light up until you "have full health." Yes, the shirt is extremely cheesy, but if your girl is a fan of Zelda, she'll appreciate it. $24.99 from ThinkGeek.com.

A Girl's Guide to Dating a Geek
OK, fellas, even if your girl is a geek too, she might need this book. Men are hard to understand as it is, and dating a geek can sometimes prove to be a little... complicated. "A Girl's Guide to Dating a Geek" is a mere $13.99 from (you guessed it) ThinkGeek.com. Here's what ThinkGeek says about the book:
"Geeks are human, yes, but sometimes they seem like a different species. They have social interactions that don't resemble anything else found in nature; they have language aspects and conventions that go against rational thought...And we need people to understand us so they can date us. This book helps."
DIY Valentine's Card

Let's Esc.
Yeah, lots of people give their significant others lingerie for Valentine's Day, but be different: Give her a shirt. And this is not just any shirt--it sends a message. The shirt is $18 from Threadless. Who said geeks can't be fashionable?
Meletta MIMOBOT
If your lady friend tells you she needs space, she probably isn't referring to her computer. But if she is, you're in luck. MIMOBOT's new Valentine's Day USB flash drive is the perfect gift. The drive is $24.95 for 1GB, $29.95 for 2GB, and $59.95 for an 8GB drive. You're not just giving your female counterpart a Flash drive, but also a piece of art: The pink-and-black drive was designed by Simone Legno, the artist behind the tokidoki brand, Meletta.
Crystals are a Girl's BFF
If your geekette enjoys the finer things in life--like crystals, for instance, get her the Philips/Swarovski HeartBeat USB drive. The drive is about $116 (£89.00). It holds 1GB of memory, and you can wear it as a necklace or hang it from your handbag.
Bling-Blingin' Rose USB Drive
Looking for a cheaper USB drive than the $100 Swarovski one? The Red Rose USB Drive is just $25 and has twice the memory--2GB. You can also wear the drive as a necklace. It supports Windows Vista, XP, 2000, and Mac OS.
Seagate FreeAgent Go Portable Hard Drive
Just like iPod nanos, portable hard drives now come in a range of rainbow colors (shown, our favorite for V-Day: "ruby red"). And nothing says "you complete me" like 500GB of storage. The lovely Seagate FreeAngent Go is available in 250GB, 320GB and 500GB capacities for $119.99, $149.99, and $199.99, respectively.
LED Bath Lights
Surprise your lover with a steamy bath with these colorful, floating, LED-powered heart-shaped bath lights. Each heart is $14.99 and come in pink, red, light-pink, and white.
"4EVER ALONE" Candy Hearts
You know those stupid candy hearts that say things like "I Love You," and "Be Mine?" Well, Despair Inc. is nerdifying those hearts with their Bittersweets. The candy hearts come in three different groups: "Dumped," "Dejected," and "Dysfunctional." Some of the hearts from Dejected include: "PEAKED @ 17," "U C MY BLOG?" and "DORK MAGNET." But my favorite come from the Dumped tin: "U HAVE A BLOG," HE HAS A JOB," and "DORKA PHOBIC." The witty hearts are $9.99 from ThinkGeek.
Hi, Very good post, and the most I like is Meletta MIMOBOT for my Valentine I think its best gift for her. I have Read somewhere that almost 95% online stores are offering huge discount on Valentines day and some companies like Vopium are offering Free 30mins for international calls and 100 SMS on this Valentines Day, There are several others ideas but I like the most is MIMBOT, Thanks for it.
Nice selection of ideas! I've been posting Valentine's gifts ideas too, one a day, and I have the Swarowski USB drive post scheduled for Friday, but the pink version instead of the silver/clear. All your other ideas are new to me, though. Thanks!
