Need a place to store your 571,000 digital photos, 500,000 MP3 file, or 150 hours of digital video? Today's a happy day for you: Western Digital launched the world's first 2-terabyte hard drive.

According to our news story on PCMag.com: "The WD Caviar Green 2 TB, part of the company's cool and quiet "WD Caviar Green family, is shipping and is priced at $299.00. Versions in 1.5 terabytes and 1 terabyte will also be available." The company's really pushing the "green" aspect of the drive, touting its low power consumption and cool, quiet performance.
