I've been writing for Gearlog.com since May. I had never been to the office nor met anyone from the staff until this past Thursday! Here's some of what I saw.
I certainly don't speak on behalf of the company, but I can safely say closing the print edition was an outcome no one wanted. Unfortunately the bad economy coupled with competition from other digital info sources has really hurt paper publishing. It's not just PC Magazine but a host of publications including magazines and newspapers.
The good news is all the content is still here and it's here without waiting for postal delivery. And, of course, digital publishing gives us a lot more space to publish more detailed content. The bad news is print scratches an itch that you (and I) have and will be sorely missed.

I love it! Glad you finally got to meet everyone. Makes me sad I don't work there anymore. :(

@Chuck--you can get your magazine in a digital format, or get your money back if you prefer. Go here for help: https://www.neodata.com/ITPS2.cgi?ItemCode=IBMP&OrderType=Reply+Only&iResponse=IBMP.INQUIRY
