Here's another contender for the most useless product of CES International 2009: the iCap. Designed by Korean-based ISTT, the iCap is a sun visor--for your GPS device.
The device clips on top of your GPS navigator to keep the glare of direct sunlight off of the screen. The iCap comes in 4.3-, 3.5-, 7, 4.8, and 7-inch sizes, with about a half-dozen color varieties in each size.

As much as I'm in love with this device (or at least the idea of it), why aren't we done with putting "i" in front of everything? This product has nothing to do with personality, nothing to do with anything the iPod might bring to mind...I mean, it could have been called the GPS Cap and it would have sounded just as cool and made more sense (and also given me an idea what the product was).

We love the idea also. In fact we INVENTED the GPS visor over 5 years ago. Now the Koreans come along with this tiny useless shade that can't possibly work and use slick marketing to promote it. I have to hand it to them, they DO know how to SELL! But they DON'T know how to produce a product that works.
