Whenever someone ups the supercar horsepower wars, it's always worth a quick look even if the car isn't full of new tech per se. That's certainly the case with Danish boutique automaker Zenvo Automotive, which claims it had exactly one goal in mind when it created the ST1: build "a real supercar with excessive power," as Autopia reports.

The ST1, the company's first car, has 1,104 horsepower and 1,032 lb-ft of torque. They haven't provided any interior or engine shots just yet, but those numbers put it between the Bugatti Veyron and the (fake-Shelby, probably fantastical) Shelby Supercars Ultimate Aero.

The ST1 features a turbocharged and supercharged 7.0-liter V-8, a carbon fiber race-spec chassis, and available options that include ceramic brakes, carbon-fiber wheels, and even a four-point roll cage. Zenvo Automotive is claiming a 0-62 in 3.0 seconds, a 0-124 in less than nine seconds, and a top speed of 233 mph.
