Netbooks are hot. Touchscreens are also hot. But touchscreen netboooks? That's just too much. A company called Hoda Technology, based out Taiwan, claims to have developed a kit for combining the two.
According to Hado, "The concept behind it is very simple; basically every netbook has a webcam port that can be used to feed the USB input of a USB Hub therefore we have integrated the HUB and the touch screen controller into one single board like the picture. It has 3 USB outputs, one for the webcam module and two other optional USB ports for other mods; such as adding a flash drive, Bluetooth, GPS dongle, etc."
The "Easy and Fun TouchKit" is available for 8.9- and 10.2-inch netbooks, including the Eee PC 900/901/1000/1000H/1000HD, MSI Wind U100, and Acer Aspire One, with the Dell Mini 9, Samsung NC10, BènQ Joybook U101, and Lenovo S9 and S10 coming soon.
At the moment, the Hado site is "under construction." Personally, I'd wait before cracking the old netbook open.
