Lenovo tried as hard as it could to keep the secondary display on the Thinkpad W700ds under wraps, but it was just too hot to hold.
In addition to an internal color calibrator, a palm rest digitizer, and an Intel quad core processor, this super laptop will also feature a 10.2-inch LED display that slides out from the 17-inch widescreen. It even flaps forward and backward for different viewing angles. And it's the size of the screens found on 10-inch netbooks, only it's in portrait mode. So while you're Photoshopping or video editing on the primary display, you can use the other one for word processing, instant messaging, or Web surfing.

My first thought is that this is a joke, but the more I think about it, the more I know several people who would absolutely love something like this. That and how technically cool is it that you can build a slide-out screen into the top of a laptop!
