Because some people are insatiable when it comes to capturing videos, JVC comes out with two new Everio camcorders today that have both an internal hard disk drive and a microSDHC card slot for storage.

The two models are the GZ-MG840 (in red, blue and silver) with a 60GB hard drive and the GZ-MG880 (in black) with a larger 120GB hard drive. Both camcorders have the capacity to shoot in 720x480 wide format DVD-resolution video. They both also do have, however, a special mode that shoots videos in a 352x240 resolution format, optimized specifically for YouTube. In fact, you can upload clips directly to the online video site using the bundled software.

The 120GB internal hard drive can store 28 hours and 40 minutes of video in high-quality MPEG-2 format, not counting the possible 1 hour and 54 minutes stored in a separate 8GB microSDHC card. The new JVC Everio GZ-MG840 and GZ-MG880 are now available in Japan for $757 and $811 respectively.
