Netflix's "Watch Instantly" feature is getting around.

The DVD rental company's offering was recently extended to Mac users and included in the new Xbox 360 upgrade, and it will now officially be available to TiVo subscribers.

"This morning, TiVo released a software update to its newest generation of DVRs, giving them the capability to stream movies and TV episodes from Netflix," a Netflix spokesman said in a blog post. "This includes instant streaming of more than 300 titles in HD resolution."

Subscribers to Netflix and TiVo Series 3, HD or HD XL will be able to stream movies from Netflix's "Watch Instantly" library directly to their TV for no extra charge.

The two companies first announced plans for Netflix on TiVo in October.

Users must add movies to their queue via Netflix.com. They will then be accessible on their TVs via the TiVo remote.

Earlier this year, Netflix introduced the Roku set-top box, which also streams "Watch Instantly" movies to the TV.

On Friday, Netflix acknowledged streaming quality issues with the Roku player.

"This was a temporary issue that we believe we have resolved," Netflix said in a blog post. "Working with our content distribution partners and key carriers, we made some specific changes that should restore everyone's experience to where it was before - high quality streaming."

The revamped Xbox gaming console, which was released last month, also includes streaming movies from Netflix. Sony, however, which produces the PlayStation 3, reportedly blocked Xbox users' access to movies produced by Sony Pictures Entertainment.

Netflix also recently extended "Watch Instantly" to Mac users.
