Perhaps 2008 will be remembered among the technorati as the year that netbooks truly broke through. The diminutive cloud-based notebooks were Amazon's major hit in the Computers & PC Hardware category.
Asus's popular 8.9-inch Eee PC 900HA grabbed the top spot, tailed closely by the Acer Aspire One. In fact, as PC World points out, netbooks managed to snag an impressive seven of the top ten entries in the category. Versions of Apple's Macbook grabbed the other three spots.
Also of note in the top ten was One Laptop Per Child's little green XO notebook, which has recently had an online resurgence, thanks to the reintroduction of the organization's Give One Get One program.
