iomegaegoblackbelt.jpgIomega today announced two additions to its portable eGo hard drive line: The eGo Blackbelt Portable Hard Drive is a rugged model, featuring Drop Guard Xtreme data protection, and the eGo Encrypt Portable Hard Drive offers hardware-based data encryption.

The silver Encrypt is a USB-powered drive featuring 320GB of storage and encryption via government-grade 128-bit Advanced Encryption Standard (AES). Like the Blackbelt, the Encrypt features Drop Guard Xtreme data protection, which protects the drive from drops up to seven feet.

The BlackBelt Portable Hard Drive features a ruggedized Iomega Power Grip band. The USB-powered 2.5-inch drive offers 250GB of storage.

The Blackbelt is available nowfor $119.00. The Encrypt is coming later this month, priced at $149.99.
