Honda has revealed a photo of the production version of the Insight concept ahead of the car's official debut next month in Detroit, AutoWeek reports. Aside from some normal-looking wheels, headlights, door handles, and tail lamps, it's a dead ringer for the concept car.
Honda is predicting annual U.S. sales in the 100,000 range, which would put it under the Toyota Prius (which topped 180,000 recently in the U.S.). Honda expects to sell 200,000 globally each year. At a base price of around $18,000—several grand under the Prius—I doubt Honda will have much trouble finding customers, assuming the Insight performs at least as well as the Civic Hybrid, if not better.
