Imagine everything you need to study plus all your favorite music, packed into one small device: The LeapFrog Crammer lets you take your study sessions on the road. The Crammer, recommended for kids ages 9 to 14, gives you access to over 16,000 quiz questions (for grades 3 to 8), lets you create your own flash cards, holds hours of your MP3s and comes with two free games.
The Crammer is easy to use, and the instructions provided are easy to follow. It turns on with the flick of a switch. The main menu includes shortcuts to your flash cards, quizzes, music, games and stats. You can also control volume and other settings from this screen.
To select a shortcut, you click the screen until it is highlighted, then click the Enter button at the top of the device. There is also a button that takes you back to your home page at the top of the Crammer.
The included LeapFrog software lets you create flashcards and download over 1,000 quizzes. To download, just connect the Crammer to your computer with the USB cable. At LeapFrog's homepage, you select the Crammer software and create an account. From there you are ready to download whatever you want to your Crammer.
You create flashcards on the computer almost the same way you would create paper flashcards: Type the question on one side and the answer on the other. One feature the flashcard maker provides is a Spanish translator: You type the word in English and hit the translate button, and the Spanish equivalent shows up on the other side of the flashcard. You can do the same thing when you enter the Spanish word first.
Additionally, you can download quizzes that include questions for third through eighth grade math, science, social studies, and language arts. The quizzes match standard grade-school curriculum, because they are derived from leading textbooks.
Not only can you use the Crammer for studying, but you can also use it for your enjoyment: Load it up with hours' worth of your favorite MP3s. You can also play the two mind-boggling games that come free with the Crammer.
If you're constantly on the go, then the Crammer is a great investment. It can conveniently store all the information you need to study--and more.
Normally listed at $59.99, the Crammer is (at the time this posted) on sale at LeapFrog.com for just $44.99.

This is going to sound incredibly dorky, but man if I don't wish I had toys like this when I was a kid. Who says video games and gadgetry can't help kids learn? :)

I've had mine since christmas 08. I have limited access to the internet & can't download the application necessary to manage the crammer. Is there some other way to manage my crammer without use of the internet?
