Ford is doing really well in the UK, especially with regard to smaller economy cars. That's been true of the Focus and the Fiesta for years. Now the company just announced improvements to the C-Max model that bring that car's carbon dioxide emissions below 120g/km, as AutoblogGreen reports.
The 1.6 TDCi now emits just 119g/km, which brings the car's Vehicle Excise Duty from £120 to £35 (£30 starting in April). In a company statement, Ford said that with 51 qualifying models, it is now the UK's leading manufacturer of cars under the 120 g/km limit. The report said that come this April, the Fiesta 1.4-liter and 1.6-liter TDCi models will pay even less VED since they will fall into the new 101g CO2/km to 110g CO2/km bracket. Meanwhile, the Fiesta ECOnetic will fall into the new zero VED category with emissions of 98g/km.
