Fisker has just released photos of Karma plug-in hybrid's production model ahead of the official introduction at the 2009 North American International Auto Show in Detroit. The car's final variant is nearly identical to the previously showcased versions. While the interior remains cloacked, the only visible departure from the concept comes in a form of a slightly less pronounced grill and air intakes.
According to Gas 2.0, all else -- including Karma's parallel hybrid propulsion system -- remains as planned. The car will have "an all-electric range of 50 miles (80km), after which the gasoline engine kicks in and charges a lithium ion battery pack." Higher demands for power will call for both engines to supply it in tandem. Fisker plans to start selling Karma in November 2009 with a price target of $87,900.
