ASUS's big announcement today? Yet another version of its popular Eee PC. The latest version of the netbook features a brushed aluminum body and a "Super Hybrid Engine" that lets users lower and overclock the CPU speed. A button located above the keyboard lets users cycle through various performance states.

The Eee PC 10002HA features 160GB of storage plus, plus an additional 10GB of storage available through ASUS Ee Online Storage. The netbook also features 802.11 N and a five hour battery life. It weighs 2.6 pounds and measures one inch thick.

The 10002HA will be available December 1st, for $499.

I own a few asus eee's I would like to get this one but I am a little unsure of the 5 hour battery - My 1000 has an 8 hour battery-THey just have to keep the price and weight down othwerwise the "other guys'will mow them over
