TeleNav is already famous for making the GPS navigation software found in many of today's cell phones (especially those by AT&T and Sprint). Today the company debuted the $299 Shotgun, their first dedicated stand-alone GPS device, and one that features a built-in GPRS cellular radio.
It offers route-based live traffic, real-time fuel pricing, an online trip planner, and a positively huge 11-million-entry POI database. However, PC Magazine reviewer Craig Ellison found that while it's an excellent idea, the Shotgun doesn't offer nearly as many location-based services as it could. It also lacks many features that are taken for granted with the latest devices, such as lane preview, reality view, and multi-segment routing. Click here for the full review.
