doco_style.JPGRather than releasing more phones under its 90xi and 70xi series, NTT DOCOMO chose to launch four new series comprised of 22 cell phones in Japan. These are the docomo STYLE series, docomo PRIME series, docomo SMART series and docomo PRO series. They're all slated for release starting this November 2008 up until March 2009.

The STYLE series is design-oriented focusing on fashion and playful colors. The docomo PRIME series is composed of multimedia-oriented phones while the docomo SMART series is made up of "sophisticated mobile phones for busy people who want to live productively and enhance the management of their professional and private lives." Finally, the docomo PRO series includes a list of smartphones available worldwide (HTC Touch Pro, HTC Touch Diamond, BlackBerry Bold, and Nokia E71).
