Navigon announced the 8100T, a portable GPS navigation device that features a brushed-metal housing and an expansive 4.8-inch display. It is the first GPS navigator on the market with NAVIGON's revolutionary Panorama View 3D, which uses NASA
terrain height data to display maps with rolling hills and digital elevations.
In addition, the Navigon 8100T offers free real-time traffic updates without having to pay a subscription fee—ever—along with Voice Destination Entry, Reality
View Pro, and a Bluetooth hands-free mode. The 8100T won't come cheap at $599, but will be available this month at select retailers, along with the optional
FreshMaps, which provides up to 12 map updates over three years for $79.99 extra.
