The 2008 Los Angeles Auto Show was chock full of green cars: hybrids, fuel cells, efficient diesels, all-electric cars. It's one of the reasons the LA Auto Show is booming in terms of global interest and media coverage. California is ground zero for efficient technology and that is helping elevate the show's status to world-class, even if it's still dwarfed by the likes of Frankfurt, Geneva, and Tokyo in sheer attendance.
