Porsche has brought some of the 2009 911 Carrera updates to its Cayman and Boxster line. The company debuted the changes at the LA auto show this week, with the cars showing off their revised front and rear fascias, which now distinguish the two models a bit more than before.
Underneath the hood, both cars get anywhere from 10 to 25 hp extra compared to last year, along with an 11 to 16 percent improvement in fuel economy due to the new direct-injected engines and optional PDK double-clutch gearbox.
Both cars now get a standard CDR-30 CD radio with a five-inch monochromatic display and the ability to play MP3 CDs, along with a new PCM Porsche Communication Management option with hard disk-based navigation displayed on a 6.5-inch color screen. The system also has optional voice control and a USB audio interface.
