When Chevy unveiled the production version of the Volt, many car enthusiasts were disappointed that the car lost its dramatic edge compared with the stunning concept version. However, two of the Volt's designers don't see it that way, as Autoblog reports, if a recent newspaper interview is any indication.
"There were probably a small number of people expecting the electric Camaro," Volt design team director Bob Boniface (above) told the newspaper, speaking for the both of them in the interview. "I'm more proud of this car than I am of the concept car," he said later on the article. In other words, apparently they either disagree with the general public consensus, or as Autoblog put it, they "just really like being able to cash GM's checks at the end of the week."
