Macbook_unboxing_2.jpg

This post is pure eye candy, really; there's not much to say--until laptop analyst Cisco Cheng's review is ready!--that he hasn't already said about the newest entries to Apple's Macbook line. But before he dove into testing, he couldn't resist sending us these unboxing pictures. So if you can't wait to see the packaging and the looks, feast your eyes. More pics follow the jump.

Very sexy! Way to get unboxing pics up so quickly, too!

I'm really digging the new trackpad and the newly designed screen. I was a huge fan of the old Macbook pro keyboard (the aluminum keys) so I'm not so fond of the new Macbook keyboard design, but I guess that's what you get when you start with a solid block of aluminum, eh?

It's nice to see unboxing pics, but they do confirm some of my fears.
Reasons not to buy a Macbook
-Power adapter is WHITE! Apple could have used a silver adapter like MB Air.
-More expensive-Not a $800 Netbook, not even a $1100 MB replacement
-No Firewire!
-No media card reader!
-No Blu-Ray!
-Unimpressive resolution...1280 by 800?
-Stupid Displayport...no HDMI?!?!?!
-Still lacks sufficient USB ports, especially since cameras and FW devices will have to be plugged into them!
-More expensive display adapters!?!
-Smaller battery?!?! The original battery life was bad enough!
Reasons to buy a Macbook
-Design
-Graphics
-New Apple computer--People will buy it
-Backlit Keyboard
Why increase MB price but not MBP?

@bob:

Reasons...
-Power adapter is WHITE! Apple could have used a silver adapter like MB Air. I AGREE HERE. THE PLASTIC ADAPTER WAS A LETDOWN...
-More expensive-Not a $800 Netbook, not even a $1100 MB replacement THEY ALREADY hAVE A MACBOOK AIR, WHY WOULD THEY MAKE A FAT AND CHUNKY OF A LAPTOP When THEY'VE ALREADY GOT THAT?
-No Firewire! GET A MACBOOK PRO, NOOB!
-No media card reader! WHO CARES? JUST PLUG THE CAMERA IN!
-No Blu-Ray! BLURAY SUCKS.
-Unimpressive resolution...1280 by 800? BETTER THAN YO MAMMA'S EYESIGHT...
-Stupid Displayport...no HDMI?!?!?! THAT FOR TV'S
-Still lacks sufficient USB ports, especially since cameras and FW devices will have to be plugged into them! ITS A LAPTOP! NO ONE KEEPS EVERYTHING PLUGGED IN AT ONE TIME, SO GET A MAC PRO...
-More expensive display adapters!?! WHO CARES? $50-$100 DOESN'T HURT...
-Smaller battery?!?! The original battery life was bad enough! IT'S ACTUALLY BETTER IN THE NEW MB, BUT WORSE IN THE MBP
Reasons to buy a Macbook
-Design
-Graphics
-New Apple computer--People will buy it
-Backlit Keyboard
Why increase MB price but not MBP? BECAUSE THE MBP WASN'T MADE OF PLASTIC BEFORE...
