If there's one thing Americans have far too much of these days, it's extra spending money. Honestly, there's so much surplus cash floating around! The San Jose-based memory manufacturer announced today the release of a solid gold version of its Pico-C USB drive. The thumb drive support transfers up to 30MB a second, and comes with a serialized certificate of authenticity, encryption software, a free laser-etched logo of your choice, and, of course, a black-velvet jewelry box.

"We fused advanced technology with precious metals into a precision crafted device with no equal," said Jin Kim, the company's design engineer.

You get all of that for the low price of $599. Honestly, you'd be stupid not to buy it.
