Pininfarina and Bollore have debuted the gorgeous B0, a joint-venture electric car, AutoblogGreen reports. The mass production vehicle will begin rolling off assembly lines toward the end of 2009, after which the companies plan to ramp up production based on the availability of batteries.
The B0 will be a four-seater, four-door, fully electric vehicle that doesn't produce any carbon dioxide. The B0's batteries will be housed in a compartment specially designed for that purpose and located under the car, between the axles, in an attempt to lower the center of gravity and improve the car's handling.
The B0 will feature a top speed of 80 mph, an automatic gearbox, a range of 250 miles, and (here's an odd figure) a 0-60 km/h (0-37 mph) in 6.3 seconds. It will also feature solar panels on the roof (see photo) to aid in recharging the batteries.
