A constant traveler? Then if you do need to use your laptop while on the road, privacy is a luxury a bit hard to find with people having the tendency to nose into other people's business. You don't want anyone peeking in while you're doing internet banking or typing out a top secret document. LG Display has recently announced a new 14.1-inch panel for laptops that supports the new viewing-angle image control (VIC) feature.

VIC can change the viewing angle of the screen on either side to 60 degrees with a single touch of the display, rapidly limiting the viewing visibility to just 30 centimeters from the edges of the screen. VIC is actually a fourth sub-pixel added to the new LG monitor when normally monitors only have red, blue, and green sub-pixels. According to The Korea Times, LG is the first to use the VIC technology on a single panel (similar technologies have been developed for smaller screens like mobile phones but required the use of double panels). Mass production of the LG Display 14.1-inch laptop monitors with VIC technology began this month.
