hpdatamessenger.jpgRemember those snazzy new iPaqs we told you about a few weeks ago? Well, if you're in the U.S., it looks like you're out of luck: A source at HP told Gearlog earlier today that the handsets "are only available in the EMEA and AP marketplace [EMEA is Europe, the Middle East and Africa; AP is Asian Pacific]. We don't have any plans to bring those products to market in the U.S."

For those lucky folks located in the right regions, yesterday the company announced two new iPaq handsets--the Data Messenger and Voice Messenger. Both phones run Windows Mobile 6.1. The former features a 2.81-inch backlit LED display, full QWERTY keyboard, HSDPA, quad-band GSM support, a GPS, and a 3.1-megapixel camera. The latter, meanwhile has 2.4-inch backlit LED display and 20 key keyboard.
