It turns out Ford may come to its senses after all: BusinessWeek is reporting that Ford CEO Alan Mulally said increased demand for small cars has led the manufacturer to revisit its decision not to bring the diminutive European Ka model to the United States.
Mulally said this morning on Detroit radio station WJR's "Paul W. Smith Show" that Ford is reassessing the Ka now, and that "a lot of people share the opinion that Ford Motor Co. should bring it to the U.S." The report said that the Ka is far smaller than the Focus, the automaker's current small car; it's also smaller than the upcoming Fiesta. Ford Focus sales have been up 24 percent this year (through September).
