Cowon today announced the release of a new Flash-based touchscreen portable media player. The O2 features a 4.3-inch TFT widescreen display with 480-by-272 resolution.

The player features Cowon's Power Management System, giving users 8 hours of video and 18 hours of audio playback on a single charge. The O2 also features an expandable memory slot for SD and SDHC cards, a built-in 10-band equalizer with eight presets, and a built-in speaker.

The O2 comes in 8GB, 16GB or 32GB sizes, for $219.99, $249.99 and $299.99, respectively.
